Balham Craft Fair - 25 March 2012

Here we are post-Balham Craft Fair and I have to say, I'm quite pleased with how it all went. It was a beautiful sunny day and apart from an almost-disaster the night before when I nearly forgot the clocks went forward, it was great! All the vendors were absolutely fantastic and I'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of them for their positivity, their enthusiasm and their goodwill in helping with tweeting and publicising the event before and during the day. Here's just a few photos of the event for your enjoyment....

Emma Barrett!The wonderful Iman!

Amanda's beautiful jewellery, Crystal & Stone.

Emma's lovely cushions and fripperies. Knickerbocker Glories.

Angela from This is Wiss, getting set up on her stall.

Two of our vendors, Alex and June having a chat before the customers arrive.

June Collins takes beautiful photos which she turns into prints and cards.

Hannah provided amazing cakes from The Vintage Cake Company for the event. Truly scrumptious!

Jules Soanes beautifully designed printed cards and invitations for all occaisons.

Alex's beautiful handmade mosaic pendants on her lovely table.

The Balham Bowls Club and visitors browsing.

More photos and an independent review of the event can be found here. A full list of the lovely vendors (sadly my camera appears to have given up half-way through the day) can be found listed on my website.

It was a lovely day Emma. Well done for all the hard work you put into making it happen. The vendors were well chosen and were all very friendly, creating a warm atmosphere even before the doors were open to customers. The venue was spacious enough and the quirky decor added a nice touch.
As a small business owner in London, I too find that table prices can be high for fairs, so really appreciated the reasonable fee charged for the Balham Craft Fair. This was actually my first fair, and I found it to be a very good introduction; quiet enough to talk to customers, but busy enough to make sales.
I do hope that your craft fair becomes a regular occurrence at the Balham Bowls Club and that I become a regular vendor (especially if I'm seated next to all those delicious cakes again).
