Dear *|MMERGE3|*,
I hope that you're having a good week and that your plans for your Christmas craft fairs are going well.

The Balham Craft will be twice a month in 2013!

I have recently been in talks with The Bedford Pub in Balham. From next year in February they will be hosting the Balham Craft Fair once a month! AND we will continue to be in the Balham Bowls Club monthly!  More opportunities to sell your wares! See the dates on the left to start thinking ahead for next year.

25th November - Winterfest at The Bedford Pub and The Balham Craft Fair on the same date
Our Balham Craft Fair on 25th November coincides with Winterfest, a Christmas festival at The Bedford Pub (still in Balham, just up the road). I am working with The Bedford to do some cross-promotion on the day to encourage some go-between footfall between our two events. Simi, the organiser at The Bedford Pub is looking for one or two more crafters to fill up her space. Contact Simi for more information on this opportunity. I'm afraid I'm fully booked for the Balham Craft Fair at the Balham Bowls Club on this date but I will keep you informed if I get last-minute vacancies.

22nd December Stocking Filler Christmas Fair
The proposed craft fair of 22nd December at the Balham Bowls Club has been relocated to The Bedford Pub. I already have a few provisional bookings for this date taken some time ago and I will email the crafters on this provisional list seperately this weekend but I may need a few more for the space.

Please note, as it's so near Christmas, my proposal is that on 22nd December:
  • we have a 'Stocking Filler Christmas Fair'.
  • nothing over £20 on sale as by that time I imagine people will be shopping for their last minute gifts rather than their big purchases. Please bear this in mind when you contact me seeking to make a booking to attend.
  • Email me if you'd like to attend, it will be first come, first served and ideally I'd like a range of goods to showcase so I may need to close this to jewellers quite quickly! (sorry!)

Balham Craft Fair in 2013
I have 2013 dates booked in with The Balham Bowls Club and The Bedford Pub for next year (see left). I know that some people may already be committed elsewhere but these were the dates available in the venues so I grabbed them! In a slightly new move, from next year I will asking vendors to fill in a booking form when securing a date for 2013 dates.

Bookings are not yet open for the 2013 dates, see the left column for opening dates. If you're keen to attend on a particular date please email me at on the date the bookings open for a booking form. I will no longer be taking bookings for several months in advance and I will be working on a first come, first served basis while making sure that I have a good spread of different vendors at the events.

For 2013, I'm also going to be super-strict on maintaing the ethos of the Balham Craft Fair. I will be making sure that our fantastic, talented sellers fulfil the two criteria of the Balham Craft Fair:

1. You make your own goods or items
2. You are based in London.

I'd like to ask you if you could please help me by promoting this ethos and criteria if someone asks you about the Balham Craft Fair. The reason for this is that I've been approached many times by individuals who live far from London and I cannot honestly state that it will be worth someone's while to travel so far to this event in Balham if living outside of London, so for the time being, I'd like to keep this event local. I'd also like to maintain the vision of handmade or handcrafted by the sellers themselves as this is something I personally feel passionate about promoting. Thank you for your help.
I'm sure you will agree that all of this is exciting news for the Balham Craft Fair and I'm really thrilled that we're now making a bit of a name for ourselves in Balham. Hopefully next year we will continue building on our successes of 2012.

Thank you for reading this email all the way to the end (it's a long one!) and please do feel free forward it to your London-based-crafty friends!
Best wishes,
